I am so excited to be practicing in the Lake Lure and Columbus Communities!
A little about me. I was born and raised in Mississippi where I attended Mississippi State University for undergraduate and went on to graduate from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 2019. I then completed my family medicine residency at Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, NC, graduating in June of 2022. After moving here for my training I quickly fell in love with the mountains and people of Western North Carolina, and I knew this was where I wanted to live and work to provide primary care services. I am looking forward to starting my rural practice and getting to know these communities. While I love taking care of the whole family no matter what the age or medical complaint, I have a particular passion for working with adolescents, for perinatal care (including pregnancy), and for mental health management. I am pleased to be accepting new patients at this time at the Blue Ridge Health Lake Lure location.
I currently live in Asheville with my husband, Joe, and our three cats and three chickens. When I am not working I enjoy hot yoga, reading a good book, going on a hike or mountain bike ride, or spending time with family and friends. I look forward to seeing you and your family at Blue Ridge Health in Lake Lure and Polk County.
