Fishing…Looking to a wonderful year

Shane Hoots with a nice crappie.

2023 looks to be a wonderful year.

I’ve been guiding for 27 years. And I’ve seen a lot of things on this lake. With the bass biting all the way up through November and December last year. Until  they lowered the lake, this spring should be wonderful. Record size crappy and large mouth bass are being caught on spoons and drop shot rigs in deeper water. And we are so used Sinko worms. Around the corner of docks with no weight at all.
This time of year we also catch trout in the lake they were stocked several years back and they’re still are a few remaining. It’s not for the faint of heart because it can be very very cold. You can also catch trout in the streams around the local area. I do some flyfishing and spin casting in some of the prettiest streams you‘ll ever see.
So if you’re up here and you don’t have anything to do. Reach out to Lewis no Clark Expeditions. lakelurefishingguides.com
