LLMF eyes next performance on Oct. 7
The Lake Lure Music Festival celebrated another successful summer season in August with a check presentation to the Lake Lure Classical Academy after raising $5,000 to support the school and its programs.
“The mission of our festival and our concerts is to not only bring world-class musical talent and entertainment to the area but to also support our local community,” said festival Producing Artistic Director Chris Dolman. “Our 2023 Festival continues on October 7th at 5 p.m. with our classical concert, “Salon Musique”. Renowned classical musicians, Chee-Yun(violin) https://chee-yun.net and Wendy Sutter (cello) https://www.wendysuttermusic.com are joining us for an intimate night of music and discussion in the style of a salon.”
Attendees will enjoy many of the artists favorite musical selections they have played in their illustrious careers, along with their unique insights into the composers and how they approach interpreting these classics Dolman said. The music will be followed by light fare and drink. For more information and to find tickets head to lakeluremusicfest.com.
