Friday, August 9th: 10K Run Kick off the weekend at Rumbling Bald with the exciting 10K run! Arrive before 7 p.m. to watch over 150 determined athletes race from Ingles to the Resort. As they push their limits, you can enjoy delicious food and beverages while cheering them on to the finish line. Witness the joy and triumph as medals and awards are presented to these incredible competitors.
Saturday, August 10th: Triathlon Rise and shine for the Saturday morning Triathlon at Rumbling Bald Resort! Arrive by 7:30 a.m. to catch the action as 350 athletes dive into the serene lake for a 750-meter swim. Watch in awe as they transition to their bikes for a challenging 16-mile cycle course, and finally, lace up for a 5K run to the finish. Celebrate the top finishers in various age and gender categories as they receive well-deserved medals and special prizes.
Sunday, August 11th: Run to the Rock Don’t miss the exhilarating 5K “Run to the Rock” on Sunday morning! Starting at 7:30 a.m. in front of the Old Rock Cafe, around 200 runners will tackle the steep climb to the finish line just below Chimney Rock. Arrive at the park gate by 7:15 AM to secure a spot and enjoy a breathtaking sunrise over the park. Cheer on the runners and see who conquers all three races over the weekend, earning prestigious medals for their outstanding endurance.
Volunteer and Join the Fun! Want to be part of the action? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team of approximately 150 dedicated helpers. By volunteering, you’ll not only contribute to the success of this fantastic event but also enjoy a special Volunteer Party on August 5th at the Resort.
