Celebration of the Arts (COTA), a FREE juried art show returns to the Foundation at Isothermal Community College. It is set for September 22-27, 2023 at The Foundation Performing Arts Center on the Spindale (NC) Campus of Isothermal Community College. Show hours are Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday 9 am-5pm, Sunday 1-5 pm and Wednesday 9-noon. The show is sponsored by the Rutherford County Visual Artists Guild, Stonecutter Foundation and the North Carolina Arts Council.
Artists interested in entering the show can find an Artist and Junior Application at www.artatthevac.com. Applications also are available at the Visual Arts Center (VAC) located at 160 N. Main, Rutherfordton. The deadline for application is September 6, 2023. Store hours are Tuesday- Saturday 10 am- 3 pm.
Many local artists whose art is entered in the show will be around during the event and individuals can meet them and talk with them about their art. RCVAG docents and other volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and help for those who want purchase of one-of-a-kind art work. In addition, a Gift Shop will offer other art and craft items created by members of the Guild.
