In June the Lake Lure Music Festival put together a wonderful day of music. A few hundred people gathered together to listen to music and support the Lake Lure Classical Academy.
To continue the musical momentum the Bill’s Creek Community Center will host a Grammy nominated performer to entertain us all.
On July 24th Josh Goforth will provide us with an enjoyable evening of music and fun.
Goforth is not only an extremely talented musician, playing 20 different instruments, but he also is one of the country’s premier humorists. He grew up close by in the mountains of Madison County North Carolina, the stories Goforth will share will connect with all the people in the audience. Goforth has played in all 50 States and around the world. Sharing the stage with many bluegrass greats such as Doc Watson, David Holt and the Steep Canyon Rangers. He has played in Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center and the Grand Ole Opry.
On July 24th at 6 pm Josh Goforth will play the Bill’s Creek Community Center. Does it get better than that?
Doors will open at 6 PM. At that time refreshments, (shrimp, fruit, cheese cookies), will be served. The concert will start at 7 PM. Tickets are $35.00 per person and proceeds go to continue the programs off the Community Center.

The Bills Creek Community continues to try to make a positive impact on our community.
Our Medical Equipment Loan Closet lends durable medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, transfer chairs), free of charge to people in Rutherford, Polk and McDowell Counties.
Our Food Pantry has provided 900 cans of food to families over the last year.
Our Playground is used by many.
Our Dog Park continues to bring people, and their dogs, together.
Our Yoga and Line Dancing classes provide fun and fitness to all who attend.
We thank all our volunteers, and we thank all who participate in our programs. Your support, along with our generous donors, is the reason the Bills Creek Community Center is here for all.
