Tryon Little Theater’s last show of the 2025/2026 season is Steel Magnolias – Robert Harling’s story of friendship, resilience, and love in a small Southern town. Presented in its original form on the stage at the TLT Workshop (516 S. Trade St., Tryon), performances will be April 30 – May 3, May 7-10, and May 14-17.
Directed by Ben Chumley, this 1987 stage play is a tragicomedy about the bond among a group of Southern women in northwest Louisiana, where the “female characters are as delicate as magnolias but as tough as steel”. This beloved play blends humor with friendship and tragic loss, as well as inspiring hope and joy.
Lori Lee plays Truvy Jones, with Maggie Carter as Annelle Dupuy-Desoto. Elizabeth Turner is Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie and Cat Rondeau plays M’Lynn Eatenton. Holly Shockley takes on the role of Clairee Belcher, with Donna Everett-Ferguson as Ouiser Boudreaux.
Playing for three weekends, tickets for this show are available online at www.tltinfo.org, or by calling 828-859-2466. Ticket prices are $25 for adults and $15 for under 18s.
