The Bill’s Creek Community Center, in Lake Lure, is proud to announce the establishment of the Bill’s Creek Community Center Scholarship. The Community Center feels it is very important to invest in the future of our community and hopes the newly formed scholarship will help build a stronger community. The goal is to support individuals who are not only working to better themselves through education, but who are also committed to giving back to the community.

The Bills Creek Community Center will award a one time $1500 scholarship to a person who shows a strong record of community involvement. .

The scholarship is available to people living in Lake Lure, (28746) zip code. The scholarship will be available to High School seniors as well as older adults who seek to go back to school.

Scholarship can go towards any post high school education, (ie. 2 or 4 year college, trade school or tech school).

The Bills Creek Community Center Scholarship is made possible due to the generosity of our generous donors and sponsors.

The application deadline for the 2026 scholarship is July 1, 2026.
