Once found, a quiet place is a harbor of peace. It’s an incredible gift wrapped in colorful bows and ribbons. Some of us never loosen the ribbons or unseal the box. It’s only quiet time that makes possible a new dimension of consciousness. It is the deathbed of mundane thought. It could happen anywhere. Listening is more important than fowling the air with sound. A quiet place has no address. An early morning walk or nursing a cup of coffee on the deck can fill your mind with special moments. It’s often a time to heal, reconsider relationships or just return thanks and feel whole. For others, it may be a time to release a weight you were never meant to carry or a guilt never meant to be revived. It can also be a time to remind yourself that you belong when you were doubtful. Random thoughts are prone to visit just for play. In such time, one can be fearlessly honest and willing to open yourself to unanswered doubts and questions. But we must let the world be still in order to hear. Peace is not that far away.
