Mountains Branch Library has been HOPPIN’ this summer! We have had record numbers of visitors (both locals and out-of-towners), record numbers of books being checked out, and record numbers of smiles being thrown around. There may have even been some dinosaur sightings in the library for those who looked!
The Summer Reading Program for 2026 is winding down, but we have had a blast! We have had dinosaur stories, dino hunts, dino digs, dinosaur professors, dino masks, and even dino slime! But more exciting than that, we have had kids reading their pants off and being excited about reading!!
We still have three (3) Books & Bites events for this year coming up and we can’t wait!!

All Books & Bites events are held at La Strada in Lake Lure. Autographed books are available for purchase at the event. Reservations are required.
