Fishin’…Bring your rain gear and let’s go fishing!!

If you bring your rain gear, it’s probably not going to rain. But if you don’t, I can make you a bet that it’s going to. LoL!

In the last few weeks, I have heard that the fish, all washed away when the hurricane hit. I’ve heard that the lake was drained and there was no water left in it for more than a year. What happened with the fish? They hunkered down and rode out the storm. Just like they have for so many years

The fishing has been great this year! All you have to do is get on my Facebook page and you can see what happens. I’ve had days like today where we caught nine bass between 6am and 10am and that’s a pretty good morning. I’ve had days when we caught a lot of white bass and only one or two largemouth bass. Most of the time I can find them, you just have to catch them. Sounds easy right? It’s not as easy as it sounds.

But a day on the water with a guide doesn’t guarantee you will catch a fish. Most of the people I take out really just enjoy being out on the water, watching the bald eagle or seeing a beaver swimming across the Lake. I knew when I watched the Bald Eagle come down beside my boat and pick up a fish, that everything was going to be okay.

Most of the people I take fishing are not from around here. This morning I had some people from Maryland and last week I had some people from Florida. A few days ago, I was lucky enough to take some friends of mine soon to be family members on the lake. James and his son Luke went out with me one morning and I think they had a lot of fun they both caught fish and that’s really what it’s all about.
